Abstract:
One aspect of an internal combustion engine according to the present disclosure is an internal combustion engine that can burn fuel containing hydrogen gas, the internal combustion engine comprising a cylinder block housing at least one cylinder and including a crankcase housing a crankshaft provided below the cylinder, a rocker cover defining an upper space covering the upper part of a cylinder head provided above the cylinder block, a ventilation gas inlet formed in the crankcase, a gas-passage-forming portion forming a gas passage that allows communication between a crank chamber of the crankcase and the upper space of the rocker cover, and an exhaust gas outlet formed in the upper part of the rocker cover.
