Abstract:
An interrupter and an air circuit breaker comprising same are disclosed. The present invention provides an interrupter comprising: a stationary contact; a movable contact which is brought into contact with or spaced apart from the stationary contact; a stationary contact arm which has the stationary contact disposed at the lower end thereof and extends upward; a movable contact arm which includes the movable contact and is formed such that the movable contact is moved in the direction toward the stationary contact or away from the stationary contact; a lower runner which is arranged to extend above the stationary contact and is formed to be coupled at one end thereof to the stationary contact arm and spaced at the other end thereof apart from the stationary contact arm; and a protruding contact which is arranged to extend above the movable contact, is configured to allow a current to flow therethrough when being brought into contact with the lower runner, and is configured to be spaced part from the lower runner when the movable contact is tripped.
