Abstract:
Disclosed are an intra prediction mode-based image processing method and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, a method of processing an image on the basis of an intra prediction mode may comprise: a step of decoding an intra prediction mode for a current chrominance block; a step of, when the intra prediction mode is a derived mode, determining whether a linear interpolation prediction (LIP) is applied to the current chrominance block, on the basis of whether the LIP is applied to a luminance block corresponding to the current chrominance block, wherein the derived mode indicates a mode of generating a prediction block for a chrominance block on the basis of an intra prediction mode of a luminance block; and a step of, when the LIP is applied to the current chrominance block, generating a prediction block of the current chrominance block by performing the LIP on the basis of the intra prediction mode of the luminance block.
