Abstract:
In an inverted pendulum type moving body (1), a load sensor (60) having an input part (60b) to which external force is input is disposed on a lower frame (4), and an upper frame (3) is equipped with a saddle (11L, 11R), which bears the load of an operator or cargo, and a handle (31), which is provided for the operator to support the inverted pendulum type moving body when not mounted, and is constructed so as to be connected to the lower frame by means of the input part of the load sensor. In this way, in an inverted pendulum type moving body that has a lower frame that holds a running unit for travel and an upper frame that is separably connected to the lower frame, the force exerted on the load bearing part of the upper frame can be accurately detected, and it is possible to sense the force exerted on the support part, such as when the operator carries the inverted pendulum type moving body, using a single force sensor.
