Abstract:
In an inverted pendulum type moving body (1) that is equipped with a base (2), which holds a running unit (3) that has a main wheel (85) that rolls on a floor (G), and a seat unit (4), which is mounted on the base and supports the buttocks of a rider (H), the seat unit is constructed having a saddle (63L, 63R), the center line (C) of which at least is disposed in front of an axis line (B) that connects the rotational center (A) of the main wheel and the center of gravity (Gt1) of the inverted pendulum type moving body. In this way, the main wheel, which is rolling on the floor, is prevented from contacting obstacles, making it easy for the rider to ride, even in cases when there are obstacles on the floor to the rear.
