Abstract:
Disclosed is an inverted pendulum type moving body with which turning maneuvers can be easily accomplished without using special accessories, even when run using only one wheel as the drive wheel. The principal axis of inertia (B) in the roughly up-and-down direction of the moving body is inclined to the rear relative to the vertical. As a result, if the rider shifts the center of gravity to either the right or left and tilts the moving body in the same direction, the main wheel (85) rotates around the principal axis of inertia as if it were being steered, whereby the moving body can easily be turned in the corresponding direction.
