Abstract:
This ionization device includes: an ion forming unit that ionizes, using a corona discharge, a substance subject to analysis; and a transport unit that transports, to a mass spectroscopy device, the substance subject to analysis which was ionized. The ion forming unit and the transport unit are separated by an electrode that has an opening and that is one electrode of a pair of electrodes that cause a corona discharge to be generated.
