Abstract:
An iridium complex compound represented by formula (5). Provided is an iridium complex compound useful as a material of a light-emitting layer of an organic electroluminescence device, that has a narrow emission spectrum half width, high solubility in solvents, and suitability as a red-light-emitting material having a not overly long but a short wavelength. In formula (5), Ir represents an iridium atom, X represents a bidentate ligand. m represents an integer of 1-3. R1-R22 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent. Groups adjacent to each other may further bond to form a ring. At least one of R13, R17, R18, and R22 is a substituent other than a hydrogen atom.
