A drawing method comprises drawing out a knitted cord (110) stored in a storage container (120) or wound on a bobbin (170) while the storage container (120) or the bobbin (170) is stationary. Drawing out the knitted cord (110) with the product of a torsional restoring ratio and a torsional torque equal to or less than 14 g·cm does not result in the formation of a twisted lump portion on the knitted cord (110) during the drawing. In a method of manufacturing a porous film (26, 150), a film-forming stock solution (25) is applied to an outer peripheral surface of the knitted cord (110) and is allowed to coagulate, whereby a porous film layer (151) is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the knitted cord (110). A supply apparatus (210) includes the container (120) and a guide member (214), and draws out the knitted cord (110) stored in the container (120) toward the guide member (124, 214). According to the present invention, a turntable for rotating the container (120) is not required, so that the knitted cord (110) can be let out with a simple mechanism.
