Abstract:
A laminated ceramic electronic component includes a body component, a first external electrode, a second external electrode, and a protective layer. The body component is formed by alternatingly laminating a ceramic layer and an internal electrode layer, and has a first surface, a second surface, a first end surface, a second end surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. The internal electrode layer is exposed on the first side surface and the second side surface, and on the first end surface or the second end surface. The first external electrode and the second external electrode extend from the first end surface or the second end surface to at least one of the first surface and the second surface, and have a first external electrode side surface and a second external electrode side surface. The protective layer contains a ceramic material and covers the first side surface, the second side surface, and the first external electrode side surface and the second external electrode side surface of the first external electrode and the second external electrode.
