Abstract:

Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of information processing and provide an LDPC code decoding method and an LDPC code decoder, capable improving the problem of high LDPC code decoding resources. The decoding method comprises: according to first flag information and second flag information of a k-th bit of a valid block in an i-th row and a j-th column of a check matrix, updating a minimum value and a second minimum value of a previous iteration of the k-th bits of the valid blocks in the i-th row; obtaining a minimum value of the k-th bits of the valid blocks in the i-th row, wherein the minimum value of the k-th bits of the valid blocks in the i-th row is the smaller one of the minimum value of the present iteration of the k-th bits of the valid blocks in the i-th row and the updated minimum value of the previous iteration of the k-th bits of the valid blocks in the i-th row; according to the minimum value of the k-th bits of the valid blocks in the i-th row, obtaining a value transmitted to a check node from a variable node of the k-th bit of the valid block in the i-th row and the j-th column; and according to the value transmitted to the check node from the variable node, updating the minimum value and the second minimum value of the present iteration of the k-th bits of the valid blocks in the i-th row, the first flag information, and the second flag information.
