Abstract:
Provided are a lead-acid battery system and a lead-acid battery service life estimation method with which it is possible to calculate the capacity turnover value during operation (CT value during operation) upon taking the lower-limit SOC and/or the low-SOC dwell time into account, and thereby estimate the remaining service life of a lead-acid battery in an accurate manner. A capacity turnover value calculation unit (138), (237), (337), (440) of a lead-acid battery system (S) calculates the CT value during operation using at least one of: a lower-limit SOC correction factor KLSOC calculated on the basis of a lower-limit SOC, which is the SOC having the smallest value when a lead-acid battery (B) is charged once and discharged once; and low-SOC-dwell-time corrective factor Kt_LSOC calculated on the basis of a low-SOC dwell time tLSOC, which is the elapsed time, after discharging has stopped upon falling below a reference SOC, until the start of the next discharge or charge.
