Abstract:
A lengthened minimally-invasive hollow pedicle screw, having a protective cover and intended for spinal correction and internal fixation, consists of a screw cap (1), a screw body (2), and a compression washer (3). The upper portion of the screw body (2) is mounted in the screw cap (1) and is limited and fixed by means of the compression washer (3). The screw cap (1) is provided with a screw base (12) and a lengthened sleeve (19). The screw base (12) and the lengthened sleeve (19) are integrated as a whole. A wedged groove (111) is formed between the screw base (12) and the lengthened sleeve (19) to allow intraoperative breakage. Two sides of the screw cap (1) are provided with elongated slots (110). Each elongated slot (110) consists of a lifting reset slot (1101), a tool breaking slot (1103), and a broken tool insertion slot (1102). The lifting reset slot (1101), the tool breaking slot (1103) and the broken tool insertion slot (1102) are in communication with each other, and are used for lifting reset, inserting a broken tool and breaking a lengthened segment of the screw cap separately. Other two sides of the screw cap (1) are provided with U-shaped slots (11) to allow intraoperative insertion of a rod. A protective plate (112) is disposed at the upper end of each U-shaped slot (11) and is used for protecting the screw cap (1) from deformation during transport.
