Abstract:
Provided are a lens holder and a lens optical assembly component or a package whereupon the lens optical assembly component is mounted, wherein defective welds of a lens casing and the lens holder are not present. A lens holder comprises a pair of leg members which extend at an incline from a support member which supports the lens holder in a prescribed location and toward a lens casing. A gap which the pair of leg members forms is either larger than or the same as the width of the lens casing which the pair of leg members is supporting at the lower end parts thereof, smaller than or the same as the width of the lens casing which the pair of leg members is supporting at the upper end parts thereof, and gets steadily smaller from the lower end parts thereof to the upper end parts thereof. A lens optical assembly component comprises a lens casing which retains a lens, and the lens holder. The pair of leg members contact the lens casing with the upper end parts thereof, and are welded to the lens casing at the sites of contact therewith. A package has the lens optical assembly component and two or more optical components mounted thereupon. The lens optical assembly component is inserted upon an optical path of the two or more optical components, and the height of the lens holder is the same height as input/output parts of an optical element.
