Abstract:
In this lens machining method, which performs edging machining on an eyeglass lens using a machining device to which a plurality of types of machining tools have been mounted, edging machining is performed via: a shape splitting step (S20) that, during edging machining of the eyeglass lens, splits the site to be machined into a plurality of shape element sections; a tool splitting step (S40) for allocating machining tools used for machining the plurality of shape element sections from among the plurality of types of machining tools in accordance with pre-set tool selection standards, and determines the use sequence of the allocated machining tools in accordance with a pre-set order of priority for use; and a machining instruction step (S50) for causing the machining device to perform machining using the allocated machining tools in accordance with the determined use sequence.
