Disclosed are a detection device (300) suitable for detecting a lens surface shape, and a stitching interferometer (400) comprising the detection device (300). The detection device (300) comprises: a barrel-shaped detection frame (302), comprising supporting bosses (3022) circumferentially arranged on an inner wall of the detection frame (302), with a to-be-tested lens (301) being placed on the supporting bosses (3022); and multiple supporting units (303) mounted on the bottom of the detection frame (302) in a circumferential direction of the detection frame (302). Each of the supporting units (303) comprises a supporting mechanism configured to be movable in an axial direction of the detection frame (302) so as to cooperate with the supporting bosses (3022) to jointly support the to-be-tested lens (301); and a balance mechanism configured to provide a balancing force that is balanced with a force of the supporting mechanism supporting the to-be-tested lens (301), such that in each case where the axial direction of the detection frame (302) is parallel to and inclined towards the direction of gravity of the to-be-detected lens (301), the supporting units (303) and the supporting bosses (3022) provide the same axial support force for the to-be-tested lens (301).
