Abstract:
This lens system is provided with: a plurality of lens elements arranged from the object side to the image surface side; and a diaphragm disposed between the lens elements. At least one free curved lens is disposed on the image surface side of the diaphragm. The optical system satisfies a conditional formula (1) based on a sum total of the free curved surfaces of the free curved lens located on the object side of the diaphragm. In the formula, N represents the sum total of free curved surfaces of the free curved lens on the object side of the diaphragm, k represents a number indicating a free curved surface among the sum total N of free curved surfaces, SAG1k and SAG2k respectively represent sagging amounts at places where heights of a k-th free curved surface in first and second directions are 40% of an image height in the first direction, Y2 represents an image height in the second direction, θ1 represents a view angle in the first direction, and Δndk represents a difference obtained by subtracting the refractive index on the object side from the refractive index on the image surface side of the free curved surface.
