Abstract:
A light detection device 1 detects the position at which light is incident. The light detection device 1 comprises a plurality of pixels 11, first circuits 23, second circuits 33, first reading units 21, 22, and second reading units 31, 32. The plurality of pixels 11 are arranged in two dimensions in a matrix, each of the pixels having a first photosensitive part 15 and a second photosensitive part 16. The first circuits 23 connect each row of the plurality of first photosensitive parts 15. The second circuits 33 connect each column of the plurality of second photosensitive parts 16. The first reading units 21, 22 read signal data through the first circuits 23. The second reading units 31, 32 read signal data through the second circuits 33. The first circuits 23 have row switches 27 that switch between electrical connection and disconnection between first photosensitive parts 15 that are adjacent to each other in the same row.
