Abstract:
Provided is a light emitting chip C provided with: a substrate 80; a plurality of laser diodes LD which are disposed on the substrate 80, include one terminal connected to a predetermined reference potential, and have a rectification characteristic; and a plurality of setting thyristors S which are respectively connected in series with another terminal of the laser diodes LD, and which, in an on-state, cause the respectively connected laser diodes LD to emit light, or which increase the amount of light emitted by the laser diodes LD.
