Abstract:
For the purpose of obtaining a light-emitting device with which it is possible to adjust brightness at a display window with low cost, the present invention is provided with an LED element 7, a substrate 6 on which the LED element 7 is secured, a light guide member 3 provided in a direction in which the LED element 7 radiates light, a substrate holder 5 for securing the light guide member 3 and the substrate 6, and a display window 1 provided in a direction in which the light guide member 3 radiates light, brightness at the outside of the display window 1 being adjustable by the shape and transparency of the light guide member 3. When a light-emitting device such as this is applied to an air conditioner, it is possible to adjust the brightness of a display lamp at low cost without adjusting the LED current of the LED element 7, replacing the substrate holder 5 of the LED element 7, and machining the housing of the air conditioner in which the substrate holder 5 is provided.
