Abstract:
Provided is a light emitting device that is capable of emitting light with reduced luminance unevenness and reduced color irregularity. This light emitting device is provided with: at least one first light source for emitting a first colored light having a first center wavelength; and a light guide plate having a light incident surface upon which the first colored light from the first light source is incident, a light emission surface which spreads in directions intersecting the light incident surface and from which the first colored light incident from the light incident surface is emitted, and a rear surface which spreads in directions intersecting the light incident surface and which is opposed to the light emission surface. The light incident surface includes a bent part in which an inclination angle with respect to a reference plane that is orthogonal to the light emission surface continuously changes in a thickness direction connecting the light emission surface with the rear surface.
