Abstract:
A light-emitting element (1) comprises an anode (2), a cathode (3), an EML (11), and an ETL (12). The ETL (12) includes metal oxide nanoparticles (12a). Organic ligands (12b) are chemically bonded to the metal oxide nanoparticles via surface hydroxyl groups of the metal oxide nanoparticles. The bond enthalpy at 298 K between bonded atoms at the binding site between the organic ligands and the surface hydroxyl groups is 326.7 kJ/mol or more.
