Abstract:
An imaging element (2) comprises: a photoelectric conversion layer (1d) having multiple photosensitive cells; a reflective layer (1c) that reflects light that has passed through the photoelectric conversion layer (1d); a microlens layer (1a) that has multiple microlenses placed between the photoelectric conversion layer (1d) and the reflective layer (1c); and a penetrating light control layer (1b) that is placed between the photoelectric conversion layer (1d) and the reflective layer (1c), and is capable of changing the light transmittance on the basis of an instruction from a control section. The microlens layer (1a) is configured such that light that penetrates one photosensitive cell and is reflected by the reflective layer (1c) is input again to the aforementioned photosensitive cell.
