Abstract:
A light distribution controller (300A) controls an adaptive light distribution lamp (200) that includes a plurality of pixels positioned in an array. By implementing a software program, a processor (312) generates at least one image prescribing the light distribution of the adaptive light distribution lamp (200), and writes the at least one image to a volatile memory (322). A microcomputer (324) for monitoring detects an abnormality in the processor (312). A hardware logic circuit (314) (i) generates light distribution image data (IMG_LD), which is to be outputted to the adaptive light distribution lamp, on the basis of the at least one image written to the volatile memory (322), when the processor (312) is in a normal state, and (ii) generates the light distribution image data (IMG_LD) on the basis of an auxiliary image (IMG_AUX), which is generated without relying on the processor (312), when the processor (312) is in an abnormal state.
