Abstract:
The present technology relates to a light receiving device and a ranging system with which light can be received reliably using a reference pixel. The light receiving device is provided with a plurality of pixels, each including a light receiving element having a light receiving surface, and a light emitting source provided on the opposite side of the light receiving element to the light receiving surface. The plurality of pixels include: first pixels having a light shielding member provided between the light receiving element and the light emitting source; and second pixels having a light guide portion for causing photons to propagate, between the light receiving element and the light emitting source. The present technology can be applied, for example, to ranging systems and the like which detect a distance to a subject in a depth direction.
