Abstract:
A receptacle (6) of the present invention has an optical fiber stub (7). A lens (5) has an incident side curved surface (9), an exit side curved surface (10), and a cylindrical part (11) provided between the incident side curved surface (9) and the exit side curved surface (10). A receptacle holder (8) holds the receptacle (6) such that the optical fiber stub (7) is spaced away from and not in contact with the lens (5). After light that has exited the optical fiber stub (7) is condensed inside the lens (5) upon entering the lens (5) from the incident side curved surface (9), the light is then spread again, and the light that has exited from the exiting side curved surface (10) is condensed on the light-receiving surface of a light-receiving element (2).
