Abstract:
Provided is a light reflective plate for illuminating outdoors such as a road, the light reflective plate securing an illumination range needed for a car to safely travel and enabling energy saving by reducing the number of arranged illumination instruments. A light reflective plate 1 is specialized for illumination of a road and a railway line. In the light reflective plate 1, a light reflective surface 5 is curved to have both a convex surface and a concave surface such that the upper half section is a convex mirror 7 and the lower half section is a concave mirror 11. A convex top section 9 of the convex surface and a concave bottom section 13 of the concave surface extend linearly in the lateral direction. The reflective plate 1, when installed in a tunnel, reflects light from a permanent illumination instrument and light from the headlights of a traveling car. The light from the permanent illumination instrument and the light from the headlights of the traveling car are reflected mainly by the convex mirror 7 side to illuminate the whole inside of the tunnel, and thus, the number of permanent illumination instruments can be reduced. In addition, since the concave mirror 11 side projects an optical line onto a road surface, the linear light brightly lights up a white line or a line is drawn on the road surface in the front side in the travel direction of a car or a train, so that the optical line can be used as an indicator of straight movement during traveling.
