Abstract:
In a configuration for driving, on the basis of a common source voltage, a plurality of light-emitting elements realized by vertical resonator surface emission laser, reduction in power consumption is achieved while enabling proper emission of light by all of the light-emitting elements. The light source apparatus according to the present invention is provided with: a light emission part which has arranged therein a plurality of light-emitting elements realized by a vertical resonator surface emission laser; and a voltage adjustment part that adjusts, according to the forward voltage of the light-emitting elements, a source voltage that is commonly used to drive the plurality of light-emitting elements in the light emission part. With this configuration, it is possible to properly adjust the source voltage according to the forward voltage of the light-emitting elements, so as to raise the source voltage when the forward voltage of the light-emitting elements is high and to lower the source voltage when the forward voltage of the light-emitting elements is low.
