Abstract:
Provided is a light source device (20) comprising light-emitting elements (1-1 to 1-3), drive units (14-1 to 14-3), an input unit (10), a temperature control unit (11), and an effective light amount setting unit (12). The drive units (14-1 to 14-3) cause light to be emitted from the light-emitting elements (1-1 to 1-3). The effective light amount setting unit (12) drives the drive units (14-1 to 14-3) in accordance with a drive condition that is set by the temperature control unit (11) so that the light-emitting elements (1-1 to 1-3) emit light corresponding to a predetermined effective light amount that is input from the input unit (10). The temperature control unit (11) adjusts the drive condition for the light-emitting elements (1-1 to 1-3) without changing the effective light amount of the light and controls so that a predetermined heat generation state is achieved by increasing or reducing the amount of heat that is generated.
