Abstract:
This light source device is provided with: blue, green, and red laser light sources; a first phase difference plate that controls polarization of blue laser light emitted from the blue laser light source; a polarization separation element that polarizes and separates the blue laser light the polarization of which is controlled by the first phase difference plate into one blue laser light and another laser light; a second phase difference plate that controls polarization of the other blue laser light polarized and separated by the polarization separation element; a fluorescent plate that is excited by the one blue laser light polarized and separated by the polarization separation element and emits fluorescent light including green and red components; a first dichroic mirror that synthesizes the other blue laser light the polarization of which is controlled by the second phase difference plate, and light from each of the green and red laser light sources; a dynamic diffusion plate that diffuses laser light synthesized by the first dichroic mirror; and a second dichroic mirror that synthesizes the laser light diffused by the dynamic diffusion plate and the fluorescent light emitted from the fluorescent plate.
