Abstract:

A light spectrum analyzer comprising a waveguide type acoustooptic wavelength variable filter and capable of measuring light spectrum with high precision regardless of temperature variation. The light spectrum analyzer (1) for detecting an optical output dependent on the frequency of light within a certain wavelength range in light to be measured comprises a piezoelectric substrate (3), a waveguide type acoustooptic wavelength variable filter (2) having optical waveguides (4a, 4b) and an IDT (5), a light source (10) for providing the acoustooptic wavelength variable filter (2) with reference light of a specific wavelength outside the above-mentioned wavelength range, a drive circuit (6) for providing the IDT of the acoustooptic wavelength variable filter with a high frequency signal for exciting the IDT, and an operating unit (16) for correcting the wavelength of select light obtained from the light to be measured, based on the wavelength of select light when the reference light is entered, and an exciting frequency.
