Abstract:
A lightning protection system comprising a lightning arrester, a detector and a control apparatus, wherein the detector inputs an inspection signal into a grounding line which connects a to-be-protected device to the lightning arrester and receives the inputted inspection signal, and the control apparatus comprises: a determination unit which, on the basis of whether or not the inspection signal can be received by the detector via the to-be-protected device and on the basis of the waveform of the received inspection signal or impedance characteristics calculated from the received inspection signal, determines a fault inside the to-be-protected device, a connection state of the grounding line or the suitability of the grounding line; and a display unit which displays a determination result from the determination unit.
