Abstract:
A line pressure controller for automatic transmission enables the fuel economical efficiency of a vehicle to be improved by expanding a low-line pressure region of mapped data (hydraulic control characteristic) according to the temperature of hydraulic fluid.  In a storage unit (101), stored is mapped data of line pressure which is set in either a high-pressure region or a low-pressure region according to the engine load.  A determining unit (103) determines whether the mapped data is changed to expand the low-pressure region on the basis of the temperature of the hydraulic fluid detected by an ATF temperature sensor (18).  A state determining unit (104) determines whether the degree of throttle opening (TH) of the vehicle is totally closed or not or whether the line pressure is currently low or not.  If the low-pressure region is expanded and the degree of throttle opening (TH) is totally closed or the line pressure is currently low, a region changing unit (102) expands the low-pressure region of the mapped data stored in the storage unit (101), or otherwise inhibits such a change.
