Abstract:
Provided are a lipid and a composition which are capable of effectively delivering an introduced compound such as a nucleic acid to, for instance, a target cell or tissue in vivo. The lipid according to the present invention is a lipid represented by formula (I). (In the formula, R1 is a C32-48 hydrocarbon group, R2 is a side chain of any one amino acid or a side chain of a derivative of the amino acid, and R3 is a side chain of a basic amino acid or a side chain of a derivative of the amino acid.)
