Abstract:
The present invention provides a liquid chromatograph column connection method and liquid chromatograph capable of keeping a column, which has been mistakenly installed by an operator, in an unused state. This liquid chromatograph column connection method is configured so as to have: a first step for, after a column has been installed at a column installation section, reading identification information for said column before connecting said column to an analysis channel, thereby acquiring first reading results; and a second step for, after the column has been connected to the analysis channel, reading the identification information of the column so as to acquire second reading results, wherein the first reading results and the second reading results are compared, and the sameness of the column is assessed.
