Title:
LIQUID CRYSTAL ALIGNING AGENT, LIQUID CRYSTAL ALIGNMENT FILM, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/074569
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides: a liquid crystal aligning agent which enlarges the range of light irradiance that enables the achievement of a liquid crystal alignment film having a small twist angle variation (unevenness) of liquid crystals within the liquid crystal alignment film surface, and which forms a liquid crystal alignment film having a high water contact angle for the purpose of achieving a liquid crystal alignment film that prevents the occurrence of display unevenness caused by a cleaning step; a liquid crystal alignment film which is formed by this liquid crystal aligning agent; and a high-performance liquid crystal display element which is provided with this liquid crystal alignment film. The present invention provides: a liquid crystal aligning agent which is characterized by containing at least one polymer (P) that is selected from the group consisting of a polyimide precursor which is obtained using a diamine component that contains a novel diamine (0) represented by formula (DA), and a polyimide that is an imidized product of the polyimide precursor; a liquid crystal alignment film which is formed by this liquid crystal aligning agent; and a liquid crystal display element which is provided with this liquid crystal alignment film. (In the formula, the definition of each symbol is as described in the description.)
