Provided are a liquid crystal composition containing a compound expressed by formula (i) and a compound expressed by formula (ii) (in the formula, Rii1 and Rii2 each independently express an akyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1-5 carbon atoms, or a akynl group having 4-5 carbon atoms, and Xii1 and Xii2 each independently express a hydrogen atom or a fluoride atom), and a liquid crystal display element using the same.
