Abstract:

A liquid crystal display device (100) comprises: a first scanning line (g1), a second scanning line (g2), and a third scanning line (g3) provided so as to correspond to respective pixel rows; a first signal line (s1) and a second signal line (s2) provided to as to correspond to respective pixel columns; a pixel capacity (CPix) provided to each of the pixels; a temporary holding capacity (CT) whereby a voltage to be written to the pixel capacity (CPix) is temporarily retained; a first switching element (12a) for controlling the electrical connection between the first signal line (s1) and the temporary holding capacity (CT); a second switching element (12b) for controlling the electrical connection between the temporary holding capacity (CT) and the pixel capacity (CPix); and a third switching element (12c) for controlling the electrical connection between the second signal line (s2) and the pixel capacity (CPix).
