Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device (100) of an embodiment of the present invention receives an input video signal including left eye image data and right eye image data and writes voltage corresponding to the left eye image data and voltage corresponding to right eye image data alternately into a pixel every two consecutive vertical scanning periods. The liquid crystal display device is configured such that when a transition between the left eye image data and the right eye image data in the input video signal is a transition from a first gradation level to a second gradation level higher than the first gradation level, and the two consecutive vertical scanning periods are defined as a first vertical scanning period and a second vertical scanning period following the first vertical scanning period, voltage corresponding to a gradation level lower than the second gradation level is written into the pixel in the second vertical scanning period in which the second gradation level should be displayed of the two consecutive vertical scanning periods.
