Abstract:
Provided is a liquid crystal display device which is capable of suppressing the yellowing of a polarising plate. The liquid crystal display device (10) comprises a liquid crystal panel (12), a polarising plate (14), an adhesive sheet (16), and a light transmitting member (18). The polarising plate (14) is bonded to the liquid crystal panel (12). The adhesive sheet (16) is bonded to the polarising plate (14), and covers the polarising plate (14). The light transmitting member (18) is bonded to the adhesive sheet (16). The adhesive sheet (16) includes a central section (20), and a peripheral edge section (22). The central section (20) overlies the polarising plate (14). The peripheral edge section (22) is bonded to the liquid crystal panel (12), and extends around the entire periphery of the outer edge of the polarising plate (14).
