Abstract:
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device using a sealing agent using a cured article of a specific curable resin composition and a specific liquid crystal composition. The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device that prevents voltage holding rate (VHR) reductions and ion density (ID) increases in a liquid crystal layer, and resolves problems relating to display defects such as voids, alignment irregularities and image persistence. Given that the present has the characteristics of preventing reductions in the VHR in the liquid crystal layer, and suppressing occurrences of display defects such as voids, alignment irregularities and image persistence, the present invention is particularly useful in IPS mode and FFS mode liquid crystal devices for active matrix drive, and can be used in liquid crystal display devices such as liquid crystal TVs, monitors, mobile phones and smartphones.
