Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device, wherein transparent auxiliary electrodes (41) are provided to a first substrate (21) in a floating state so as to run parallel to gaps (22s) between character electrodes (22a) and non-character electrodes (22b). The auxiliary electrodes (41) are formed so as to be divided by discontinuities at a predetermined pitch length in the length direction thereof.
