Abstract:
A liquid crystal display panel and a method for manufacturing same. The liquid crystal display panel comprises a substrate (20, 60), a device layer (21, 61) disposed on the substrate (20, 60), a data line (22, 62) disposed on the surface of the device layer (21, 61), and an organic insulating layer (23, 63) disposed on the surface of the device layer (21, 61) and/or the surface of the data line (22, 62). The organic insulating layer (23, 63) is provided with a trench (24, 64) corresponding to the data line (22, 62). A black matrix (25, 65) is disposed in the trench (24, 64). The surface of the black matrix (25, 65) is flush with that of the organic insulating layer (23, 63). A protruding structure formed by the black matrix (25, 65) above the glass substrate (20, 60) is removed, thereby preventing poor liquid crystal alignment caused by the protruding structure. A photomask of the black matrix (26, 65) is omitted, thereby reducing the number of photomasks used in production, and simplifying the manufacturing process.
