Abstract:

A liquid crystal polymer composition for use in a connector which comprises 100 parts by weight of a liquid crystal polymer (A), 5 to 100 parts by weight of a fibrous filler (B) having an average fiber diameter of 0.5 to 20 $g(m)m and an average aspect ratio of 10 or less, and 5 to 100 parts by weight of a particulate filler (C) having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 50 $g(m)m, with the proviso that the total amount of fillers is 150 parts by weight. The composition is a material which exhibits good dimensional accuracy and reduced warping deformation without significant detriment to mechanical properties such as bending characteristics and is suitable for use in a connector having a ratio (L/t) of its length (L) to its average wall thickness (t) of 10 or more and a ratio (L/h) of its length (L) to its height (h) of 10 or more.
