Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to minimize stratification of an electrolyte solution and improve the service life in a liquid lead-acid battery used at a predetermined remaining capacity. One embodiment of the present invention is a liquid lead-acid battery provided with: a positive electrode plate; a negative electrode plate; a separator arranged between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; a membrane arranged between the negative electrode plate and the separator; an electrolyte solution; and a battery case for accommodating the positive electrode plate, the negative electrode plate, the separator, the membrane, and the electrolyte solution, wherein the membrane comprises pores having an average pore size of 15 µm or less and said liquid lead-acid battery is used such that the ratio of the remaining capacity to the full charge capacity is 90% or less.
