Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method that makes it possible to send various liquids back and forth without allowing air to enter into a micro-channel and a detection system and detection device using said method. To obtain at least one of the above, this method is made to be one in which: a pipette tip is inserted into a liquid injection part of a detection chip having a micro-channel, the liquid injection part connected to one end of the micro-channel, and a reservoir connected to the other end of the micro-channel; the pipette tip injects and draws in liquid; and liquid is sent back and forth within the micro-channel. In this method, the following steps are carried out in the following order: a step for inserting the pipette tip into the liquid injection part to a position at which the leading end of the pipette tip is below the liquid surface when liquid is injected into the liquid injection part; a step for injecting liquid from the pipette tip into the liquid injection part; a step for creating negative pressure within the liquid injection part and raising the height of the surface of the liquid within the liquid injection part; and a step for drawing in the liquid within the liquid injection part using the pipette tip or for using the pipette tip to inject liquid into the liquid injection part and draw out the liquid within the liquid injection part.
