Title:
LIQUID-STORAGE DEVICE AND PRESSURE-CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/132693
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
By means of installation improvements specifically in a liquid-storage tank from among sulfidation installations at which a sulfidation reaction is performed in the hydrometallurgy of nickel oxide ore, the present disclosures reduce the amount of hydrogen sulfide gas used in a sulfidation step and the amount of alkali used in exhaust gas treatment, reducing operating costs. Disclosed is a liquid-storage device, which is used in a sulfidation installation that generates sulfides by causing the sulfidation of a sulfate solution, and which is provided with: a plurality of liquid-storage tanks (11n) that store a slurry or a filtrate after solid-liquid separation; a collecting pipe (12) that collects exhaust gas from each liquid-storage tank (11n) or inert gas that goes towards each liquid-storage tank (11n); and pressure-control pipework (13) that controls the internal pressure of the plurality of liquid-storage tanks (11n) by allowing the flow-through of inert gas and exhaust gas. Also, the pressure-control pipework (13) joins with the collecting pipe (12) via a joining section (30) and is provided with a pair of pressure-control valves (31, 32) that sandwich before and after the joining section (30) that joins to the collecting pipe (12).
