Abstract:
A lithium ion battery positive electrode active material is provided which can suppress elution of metal ions and changes in the crystal structure during charging and discharging, and which can achieve high stability during charging and discharging with minimal degradation due to the passage of time while in use. This lithium ion battery positive electrode active material has a coating layer comprising amorphous carbon on the surface of a positive electrode active material, the amorphous carbon being derived from carbon contained by an oxazine resin. The G-band and D-band peak intensity ratio is 1.0 or greater when measured with Raman spectroscopy, the average film thickness of the coating layer is 100nm or less, and the coefficient of variance (CV value) of the film thickness of the coating layer is 10% or less.
