Abstract:
The present invention provides: a lithium-ion secondary battery in which a layered-type electrode assembly is housed in an outer package formed of a laminate film, and which exhibits excellent cycle properties; and a method for manufacturing same. This lithium-ion secondary battery is obtained by housing, in an outer package formed of a laminate film, an electrode assembly having plate-like positive and negative electrodes that are layered so as to have a separator therebetween. The lithium-ion secondary battery has, in a plan view, a polygonal shape including at least one set of width and length. When the thickness and the width of the lithium-ion secondary battery are respectively defined as A (mm) and B (mm), and when the three-point bending strength of the lithium-ion secondary battery is defined as C (N), C/(A×B) is 0.50-1.20 (N/mm2).
