Abstract:
This lithium secondary battery includes: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator (50) disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; a spacer (53) disposed on the separator (50); and a non-aqueous electrolyte that has lithium-ion conductivity. The negative electrode is configured so that: during charging, lithium metal is precipitated; and during discharging, lithium metal is dissolved. The separator (50) includes a base layer (51) and a composite material layer (52). In plan view, the shortest distance from a given point on the spacer (53) to the outer ridge of the spacer (53) is less than 1.5 mm, and the width of the spacer (53) is at least 0.01mm. The composite material layer (52) contains a polymer and inorganic particles.
